Week 15 - KFC Smells, Prawn Prep & Girl Dinner
Monday was the last day of August. I honestly cannot believe how quickly this year is going. I know we say that every year, but seriously. How are we basically in spring already? Monday was my office day, and I started the morning with a walk because us coaches are doing the Super Fuck Party challenge, and apparently I am now a person who starts office days with movement. Who is she? I even took my runners to work and changed into them for a lunchtime walk, which was great be

Week 14 - Needles, Naps & Sports Mode Crocs
Monday was my day off with Arlo. After we dropped the kids to school and he had his morning nap, it was time for his 18-month needles. Now little Arlo is pretty clever. As soon as we walked into the community centre where we get his needles done, he knew. He latched onto me like a koala. We had to wait a little bit to be seen, so he calmed down and was happy enough, but as soon as we went into the room, he knew exactly what was happening. Unfortunately, I had to hold him down

Week 13 - Lucky Number 13
Monday was my office day!! Here is me looking all smart and that! While on my lunch break I ordered myself a vision board. Do you have a vision board? I used to have one years ago and I actually ticked everything off, so I think it’s time for a new one. The bigger question is, where do I put it? Jason sent me this really cute pic of Arlo! It was their day together! Monday night we had the BEST support call with our clients! This is where any of them can jump on zoom and ask u

Week 12 - Prawns, Pickles & Potential
Monday was my rostered day off with Arlo. He had a bit of a cough and a runny nose, but nothing too bad. He was fighting it off really well, but Sunday night he slept until 3am and then needed nose spray, a bottle, a nappy change and to be put back to sleep. He already had his vaporiser on, and honestly there’s not much else you can do at that point. So then I laid there listening to him cough for about three hours. Some of the worst sleep for me and him, but apparently no on

Week 11 - Skinny Tub, Snickers and Patience Games
As we enter Week 11 of my own STRIP phase, I found myself thinking on Monday morning about how much of this process really is just patience. Annoying, yes. Necessary, also yes. As we all know, weight loss is not a super fast thing. I know I’m speaking for a lot of people when I say I wish it would just come off quickly, but realistically, we didn’t put weight on overnight, so we can’t expect it to come off overnight either. Whether the weight gain came from food choices, lowe

Week 10 - Arlo’s Surgery, Pickle PJs & A New Low
Monday was such a good day. It was my rostered day off with Arlo, and Nola ended up staying home too because she had a sore tummy. When I’m home, Arlo usually has two naps, but of course on this day he refused the first one and then only gave me 50 minutes for the second one.Classic baby behaviour. Very considerate. But somehow, I still managed to get quite a lot of work done, and Nola was feeling fine again by about lunchtime. I also went to the doctor to check in about how

Week 9 - Recovery, Poo Socks & Reality Checks
Here we are, groundhog week haha. Monday is usually my office day, but the older kids had a pupil free day before school went back, so I put Arlo in daycare and worked from home. It was very frosty in the morning doing drop off, but I had to stop and admire my lemon tree because it is thriving! I have one near the door and two in the pool area and they are looking so healthy. I’m going to pick some and take them into the office soon. Since the school holidays are nearly over,

Week 8 - Cold Ovals, Big Goals & Food Wins
Week 8. How are we already here?! Monday was dentist check-ups for the older kids, we do 6 monthly check ups and cleans!! Then Kanga Cup. It was so cold. I don’t think I have ever felt Canberra this cold. I had all the kids with me and Arlo was already overdue for a nap, so I ended up having to ask one of the parents if they could drop Nola home so I could get Arlo home and into bed before it got too late. Thank goodness the parents are all so kind and I was able to leave her

Week 7 - Harry Potter, Conjunctivitis & 6kg Down
Monday I got home from Sydney and the kids ran to me for hugs. Arlo did not haha. He just kept playing, but he finally cuddled up to me later in the day, so I’ll take it. I also went and saw my gynaecologist and we decided on an endometrial ablation. Did you know it stops your periods forever? (for most women anyway).. You can only do it if there are no more children in your future, and that factory is officially closed for me. I’m booked in for two weeks’ time. The reception

Week 6 - Surgery, Sydney & Standing Jeans
What a week!! At first I was thinking, gosh I don’t feel like I have much to say because I didn’t feel like I did a lot. But really, I did! Monday was a big day for me. My sister and I drove to Sydney and back to see a plastic surgeon. I want to be open and honest in my blog, so here goes. I got a breast lift in 2021 and an augmentation in 2022. This was after my two eldest children, and I did it not ever thinking I would be blessed with another child. That’s a whole other st

Week 5 - Rainy Days, Footy fun & Progress Pics
How is it WEEK 5 ALREADY?! Monday was such a busy day at work, and I got to see my gyno! She is suggesting the Mirena and I’m thinking it’s a yes from me!!! At the end of the day I had to race home for all hands on deck. Unfortunately I didn’t make the support call because poor little Arlo has a bad cold, and 6pm is prime time for kids’ routine. So I gave Jason a hand and we worked together to get everyone fed, bathed and into bed. I felt like I came down with a cold late Mon

Week 4 - Chaos, tacos and a 1kg drop
Monday was the first week back to normal after two public holidays the previous two weeks, and honestly it felt like we were finally getting back into routine. It was my day off with Arlo, so we caught up with a friend for a tea. Arlo then refused his nap, so we played outside instead. Classic baby life. Tuesday I did not get up for the gym. I hit snooze and rolled over like it was an out of body experience. I swear I had no control over it 😂 Anyway, I also started stressing

Week 3 - Hungry, Tired & Trusting the Process
This week felt HARD. Not life-is-falling-apart hard. Just everything-feels-like-effort hard. I think the deficit is finally kicking in because I spent a lot of this week dragging my feet. I was tired. Hungry. Unmotivated. And honestly, everything felt harder than it should have. Monday was another public holiday. I caught up with one of my girlfriends and we walked 6km around the lake. It was such a beautiful day. The kids got their motorbikes out with the neighbours and spen
